Connection

A creative and expressive delivery

Using a creative and expressive delivery, my interventions provide clients, corporations, teams and colleagues with a therapeutic experience. I recognised the connection between creativity and psychotherapy and subsequently trained as a Dramatherapist in 2012. After completing a month-long clinical study in the Caribbean and presenting my findings at the University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica, I was inspired to develop my practice in trauma-focused forms of psychotherapy globally.

At Therawake, we offer Dramatherapy, Counselling, EMDR, and Clinical Supervision to clients, trainee Psychotherapists and Dramatherapists, qualified therapists, social workers, teachers, Senior Leadership Teams, Directors and CEO’s. Our experienced and registered practitioners and therapists provide bespoke training and high-quality delivery to help clients delve into their narratives and explore opportunities for healing.

Welcome and Introduction to Therawake

Judy Nkechukwu, Founder and CEO

Registered Psychotherapist

I was able to work through 30 years of complex trauma. I started to notice that the memories of the trauma were no longer traumatising me the way in which they used to.

I started noticing things that would once cause me anxiety, no longer had the same hold on me. I was willing to try new things and sit with my uncomfortable feelings without becoming destructive.
