The process of rebuilding involves clearing the ground, securing foundations, and then building one brick at a time…this is reflective of my Clinical Supervision with Judy. Over the last few months, Judy has facilitated an open space, and reminded me of my deep foundations as a therapist and individual. Through our sessions, she is also challenging and encouraging me to rebuild my confidence in who I am, and in my clinical practice.
Building takes time…sometimes there is clear progress, at other times another “rock” is uncovered, and at all times, patience and hope for growth is needed. I value Judy’s integrity and commitment to the process.
Dance and Movement Psychotherapist
I have nothing but good things to say about Judy, she is the best supervisor I’ve had (I’ve had bad experiences). From the first session we had, she made me feel comfortable and heard especially when bringing up feelings of stuckness in my therapeutic work. She is very kind, understanding and non-judgemental. Judy is flexible in her approaches to any issues I bring up regarding my clients, she emphasises the importance of taking care of myself as a therapist.
I overall really appreciate and enjoy our supervision sessions, they have helped me to grow as a therapist and reflect accordingly. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, Bristol
Judy is an amazing supervisor, she is knowledgeable, experienced and trustworthy.
Judy always understood the Clients I brought to supervision, with her questioning and insight the work we did together benefited my clients and practise immensely.
I would highly recommend Judy as a supervisor.
Judy has supported my development as a practitioner through building a positive alliance, assisting me to find my voice and encouraging creative solutions.
Dramatherapist and Clinical Supervisor
Judy has been an essential part of my work as a school counsellor, I look forward to meeting with Judy for clinical support. Her support and clinical input have enabled me to remain grounded and ethical in my present role as school counsellor. Judy is warm, caring and understanding in the clinical space, she continues to offer me practical as well as therapeutic support and this has helped me to maintain a good sense of self-awareness in my interventions with my students.
I’m a theatre artist who explores difficult personal and social material including race. Judy worked with me in a capacity that was somewhere between counselling and supervision, helping me to contextualise my responses to my work and supporting me to navigate the workplaces I was uncomfortably involved with.
Judy was insightful, well informed, and compassionate in our work, often giving me avenues for development that I hadn’t previously explored.
I would recommend working with Judy in any capacity, but especially to support creative work.
Judy’s wisdom and warmth radiates through her supervision style. She freely offers suggestions for effective interventions and points to think about for further analysis and assessment.
She constantly prioritises the client’s lived experience and places it in the larger social, historical, and political context. Her knowledge, sincerity, authenticity, and intuition, greatly influenced my training and continues to do so now that I am qualified drama therapist. Thank you Judy.
