Overview
I help clients reconnect to themselves, their roots and help find a sense of belonging. I believe trauma can flow down in generations which can cause repeated experiences, familial distress, mental health, anxiety, depression, PTSD, low self-esteem, and bodily responses. I am offering a sacred safe space to creatively explore, self-discover and provide healing. I offer a non-judgemental space with a compassionate, patient and caring approach.
Creative Therapy is a form of psychotherapy. It is a type of therapy that allows the client to explore past traumas, emotions, and experiences through the medium of psychological therapy and creative methods. Creative Therapy is a form of therapy which helps you explore and express as words may be too painful or difficult to find.
I am offering a sacred space for clients to explore a sense of belonging, processing, and experience personal growth and healing through the form of creative therapy. You do not need to have any interest or experience in any form of creativity or therapy. I am registered with the British Association of Dramatherapists, Health Care and Professions Council (HCPC).
Specialities & Expertise
Growing up in a deprived area and being exposed to individuals who have been victims of crime within my community, I was always passionate about changing the failing system and working within the community. I have extensive lived experience as well as professional experience within child criminal exploitation, child sexual exploitation, county lines, victims of crime, and adults who have lived experiences of these growing up. I have worked within young people and adults within schools, Pupil referral units, Youth centres, children's homes, social services, youth justice services, and leaving care (adults).
I am very much aware of the effects of trauma on our mental, emotional, physical, and social well-being, and how this could impact our relationships, our relationships with ourselves, and our everyday lives.
Are you an individual who has been part of a system growing up? Are you an individual who is experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)? Are you struggling with emotional dysregulation? Do you have a family member who would benefit from an alternative therapy? If you are not sure, please get in touch for initial brief chat, which is a virtual a meet and greet.
