Let’s check we are a good fit.
Welcome to my practice! I am excited that you have decided to take the first step towards your journey of self-discovery and healing. As a therapist, I understand that seeking help can be a difficult decision to make, but I want to reassure you that you have made a courageous choice that could change your life.
If you are new to therapy or have never worked with me before, I highly recommend booking an Initial Chemistry Consultation with me. This consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, discuss your concerns, and explore how I can best support you on your journey.
During the consultation, we will talk about your reasons for seeking therapy, your goals and expectations, and any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. We will also discuss how we can work together to achieve your desired outcomes, and I will explain my approach to therapy and the techniques I use.
The Initial Chemistry Consultation is essential because it allows us to determine if we are a good fit for each other. Therapy is a collaborative process, and it is important that you feel comfortable with me as your therapist. I want to ensure that we have the chemistry needed to create a safe and supportive environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
The consultation typically takes around 30 minutes, and it is completely confidential. It is also an excellent opportunity for you to learn more about me and my qualifications, ask any questions, and decide if you want to proceed with therapy.
I understand that starting therapy can be overwhelming, but I am here to help you navigate through the process. My approach is warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental, and I strive to create a safe and supportive space for all of my clients.
“Judy worked with me in a capacity that was somewhere between counselling and supervision, helping me to contextualise my responses to my work and supporting me to navigate the workplaces I was uncomfortably involved with.
Judy was insightful, well informed, and compassionate in our work, often giving me avenues for development that I hadn’t previously explored.
I would recommend working with Judy in any capacity, but especially to support creative work.”
